We, the two founding partners of the firm, established SOKOLOFF & SEWERIN ARCH in 1995. Gregorio Sokoloff has a degree in architecture from Los Andes University in Bogota, Colombia and Christina Sewerin graduated from The School of Architecture, Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen. We have both done post-graduate master studies. GS in Scenography and Computer-assisted Design (France) and CS in Architectural Heritage, NORDMAK (Denmark). We have worked as consultants offering our services in South America, Asia, and Europe and currently work in projects around Colombia and Denmark.

Our approach to architecture, has roots in a functionality focused Scandinavian education, where we seek solutions and designs that are rational and respond to the predefined needs of a project. To us, the design process of a project is largely an analysis related to its environment, topography, history and to other elements that define its context. The result is a project that is molded architecturally according to this analysis, to its genius loci, and therefore, can justify its existence and develop its proper identity.

We like the use of natural and noble materials, as natural stone and massive wood, that last for generations and gain patina over time. We seek sustainable solutions to our architecture, and permanently try to improve our construction techniques by being conscious in the choice of building materials.

To communicate ideas and spaces with our clients, we like to work in 3D with renders or complete 3D models, physical models and mock-ups. With interior design projects we elaborate mood boards and material boards. We both use different techniques of expression; drawing, sketching, painting and water coloring, some used at a daily basis as necessary tools in our creative work process, others more sporadically, as a personal interest.
